Personal Concept Project
Footwear Design · Visual Concept · Packaging · Typography
This self-initiated design project explores how graphic storytelling can influence product and packaging design. Inspired by the classic hamburger, this concept reimagines the Nike Air Force 1 through the lens of food culture—bringing together texture, typography, and color in a way that feels bold, unexpected, and still true to the sneaker’s iconic identity.
Each layer of the hamburger influenced the visual direction:
Bun: Soft tan suede overlays
Lettuce: Light green graphic accents for freshness
Tomato: Vibrant red panels for contrast
Cheese: Warm yellow stitching and inner lining
Patty: Deep brown textures for depth
Sesame Seeds: Embossed or printed dot details
The layout and material choices were designed to play with contrast and balance—mimicking the structure of a real burger while still aligning with Nike’s streetwear DNA.
In addition to the shoe design, I created a full packaging concept inspired by a fast-food burger box. The design incorporates playful typography, custom illustrations, and layered paper textures to create an immersive unboxing experience.
